We will meet with adults and parents that have concerns about the effect on young people who live in a community plagued by violence. We know from studies and community leaders mental health is a major problem that must be addressed.

About the event
We will meet with adults and parents that have concerns about the effect on young people who live in a community plagued by violence. We know from studies and community leaders mental health is a major problem that must be addressed. We will offer a group discussion, presented by local mental health specialists, to those concerned in a one-hour format, that will include:
How to recognize and respond to mental health crises in young individuals.
Teaches participants how to provide initial help and connect youth to appropriate resources.
Focuses on early intervention and reducing stigma.
How to encourage open conversation about mental well-being with those afflicted.
Because parents are often feeling the pressure of dealing with these issues, we will offer techniques to manage stress, anxiety, and depression.
